How long will you need my car for?+
Every vehicle is different, but most cars are with us for around half a day. The exact time depends on the number and shape of the windows, any old film that needs removing and the condition of the glass. We will give you a clearer collection time when your appointment is booked.
Can I wind my windows down straight away?+
No. Please keep the tinted windows fully closed for at least 4 to 5 days after fitting. This gives the adhesive time to set and helps prevent the film lifting at the edges. We will remind you of the aftercare instructions when you collect your vehicle.
Will you be able to see the film on my windows?+
The finished tint is designed to look like part of the original glass. We use high-quality film and fit it right to the edges wherever the window design allows, creating a clean, consistent finish rather than an obvious applied layer.
How long does the film take to cure?+
The film normally reaches working hardness after 4 to 5 days and can take around 30 days to cure completely. Cool weather and high humidity can slow the process. A slightly hazy appearance or small moisture pockets during this period can be normal and should clear as the film dries.
Can I wash the outside of my car after tinting?+
Yes. The tint film is fitted to the inside of the glass, so washing the outside of your vehicle will not affect it. When cleaning the inside, use a soft cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner to help protect the film.
Is my tint guaranteed?+
Yes. Our window tinting work is guaranteed for 12 months against fitting defects such as peeling, bubbling or lifting. We will explain the guarantee and the simple aftercare needed to keep the film looking its best when you collect your vehicle.
What does the law allow?+
For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% through. There is no legal tint limit for the rear side windows or rear windscreen, so these can be tinted as dark as you prefer. Earlier vehicles have a 70% minimum for both the windscreen and front side windows. We will always advise you if a requested tint would not be road legal.

Yes, all tinting work is carried out by appointment so we can allow the right amount of time for your vehicle. You are welcome to visit the unit beforehand to look at shade options, discuss the finish you want and ask for advice before booking.
